Kathy deVries has been in the mental health field for 15 years. She graduated from Wheaton College with a bachelor's in psychology in 1994. She began working at the Alzheimer's Disease Center at Rush Hospital in Chicago Il. In 1996 she and her family moved to the Pennsylvania area. Kathy began working at Life Counseling Services in Paoli, PA. Throughout the 10 years that she worked for Life Counseling Services she gained experience in the field. As Vice President of Life Counseling Services she created an intensive outpatient counseling program, worked with University of PA to create a research unit and enjoyed participating in a weekly radio program on WFIL. To support her administrative role there she pursued her master's in business administration. Throughout this time Kathy continued to be interested in offering individual counseling services. Finally, in 2007 Kathy decided to pursue her long term goal of being a therapist. She completed her course work in 2009 and began an internship at the Peacemaker Center. Kathy was pleased to accept a staff position as a counselor in 2010.
Kathy lives in the Downingtown area with her husband and four children. She has been married for 16 years. She and her family are very involved in their church. Kathy has been a Christian since she was 7 years old. She has a particular passion for working with children of divorce, marital couples and people who have been wounded by the church.
