Joy cultivates an environment of hope and healing for all who desire to grow. She provides a non-judgmental therapeutic experience in which you can safely explore your thoughts, desires, and emotions. She incorporates selfcompassion, mindfulness, and self-honesty to nourish a renewed sense of being. As a therapist, and educator, Joy has been developing caring and compassionate relationships for over 30 years. Her theoretical approach is person-centered, she has experience working with women with low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, as well as working with individuals on the autism spectrum. Joy has worked in the church community for years, understands the abuse that can occur, and actively engages in helping people heal. She welcomes all clients and respects those who do not want to include faith in their therapy experience. Joy and her husband have been married for 33 years, have three grown sons, and an empty nest. She enjoys creating beauty, tending gardens, and drawing cartoons.
